Brick by Brick
Psychology Unlimited uses a “brick-by-brick” fee structure to offer transparency, accessibility and flexibility in costs for services. All services are mutually agreed and estimated in advance, so there are no unexpected charges.
One brick represents one hour. ![]()
Bricks come in four colours, to show four different types of services. ![]()

Each colour has a different price level, due to the different amounts of ‘behind the scenes’ work or time that goes in to delivering that service. With the exception of writing reports, there is direct contact for the full hour (per brick). In other words, preparation and analysis time are already incorporated into the cost of a brick, so you can expect me to be present for the number of hours (bricks) that have been agreed.
Assessment requires additional preparation, including obtaining the appropriate resources or tailoring materials, as well as scoring, analysis and interpretation of results. This is incorporated into the cost.
Intervention requires enhanced levels of planning, including research, creating bespoke materials and resources, ongoing review and adaptation. This is incorporated into the cost.

Transparency
- No unexpected charges.
- Mutually agreed services with fees detailed and explained in advance.
Flexibility
- Additional time or services can be added at any point if your needs change.
- Unlimited combinations to tailor services to a wide variety of needs.
Accessibility
- Low ‘minimum spend’ to access support in line with your financial situation.
- Combinations created to meet your needs within your budget.
You can create any combination using any amount of bricks to tailor my service perfectly to your needs. The only requirement is that a single yellow brick is included in all combinations (a ‘foundation’ brick, so to speak). This represents the first full consultation we have (after your free initial email or telephone consultation), in order to discuss your needs further and generate a mutually agreed action plan. This can also represent a one-off consultation, if further services are not required.
There are unlimited possible brick combinations, but here are some examples to demonstrate what can be put together…

If you are unsure what services or combination of bricks you may require, please call or email to discuss – remember, the initial consultation is free, with no obligation.
If schools or other organisations would like an even more personalised service with access to (for example) email and telephone support, professional supervision and/or research and evaluation services, please contact me to discuss alternative packages.
Invoices are sent on a quarterly basis, or once the agreed services have been delivered, whichever is sooner.
If two parties (e.g. school and local authority or school and parent or children’s centre and childminder’s group) share the same goals and concerns and wish to share the costs of services, I would be happy to provide two invoices and accept payment from two different sources.
travel
Travel time is charged at £50 per hour, with no additional charges for petrol, parking or public transport. I will use Google Maps to calculate the time needed to travel between my RH1 postcode in Redhill and your location without traffic.
For example, a 24 minute (return, i.e. both ways) journey would cost £20.
There is obviously no travel charge for telephone or email consultations, or if you attend my office.
